After 14 seasons of racing time has come to say goodbye to some of the key riders who made the team succesful. After Dussel hiss semi-retirement, the departure of Taffe and our first climbing captain De Craene it is now time to say goodbye to Anatoliy Michala our most succesful rider after Dussel who won Vuelta SC 2 times and is a winner of ZBZ next to numberous stagewins and results in Vuelta and Essex.
However we also want to announce a new signing. peddelen strategy on the transfer market is normally to sign young riders and to keep them until they are no longer capable in performing at the highest level but today we sign Fergus Harrold. Buying Harrold was never thought of until he was offered and we saw some interesting extras. One of them is a wildcard for the Volta next season we will certainly use.
We only did the Volta once in season 18 when we send 5 sprinters and our then new climber (De Creane) to the tour. Dussel won 2 stages but failed to secure SC and ended up second behind SARS Susumu Miyazaki. This time we will enter a 6 man climbing squad most likely led by Harrold himself to try to get on GC podium.
